Cardiff Mini-break Beer#48. Clear amber coloured brew with the first nice head I've had for quite a few beers now. A steady hoppy amber, it's enhanced by a nice clean texture. Found in Birmingham on the way home.

Hazy gold with a big frothy white head and a hoppy fruity aroma. Smooth and a touch creamy, some moderate carbonation, sweet and fruity, hoppy with a soft dry bitter finish.

Cask at the tap in Brum. Clear amber. Thin foamy translucent off-white head. Aroma is indistinguishable over the lovely smelling food. Flavourwise, there is an initial spur citrus streak before sweet caramel sweeps through. Underlying malts. Light. Thin to slick. Soft carbonation has some liveliness. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Polite but unmemorable

Cask at the brewery tap. On as a Golden Ale but described on pump clip as a Citrus Pale Ale so have amended style as per brewer's intent. Clear gold which positively gkeams. Frothy foamy white head. Aroma is low key - light citrus and malta. Flavourwise it's not overly citrusy. More of a squirm of citrus combined witb quinine over a biscuity base. Light-medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Trad stuff. Drinkable but unexciting.

Isle Of Wight Holiday Beer#87. Mango juice appearance, fair nose, subdued carbonated taste, but excellent juicy texture.
