Tasted as “Bolle Jan Pilsener”. Collapsing, just yellowish tinted head over clear metallic, pale golden beer. Shards of lace. Dry-ish, fresh malts nose, with a whiff of caramel and alcohol. Grainy, soft-sweet malts taste, fresh malts; actually quite good for a Pilsener/pale lager. Ends duller sweet. Light to medium bodied, grist slickness. Decent pilsener, better than usual from Huyghe. The label remarks that the bottle remains property of the brewery Bolle Jan. Ah? And what do they say in Melle about that? As to the caption “Echt Brabants”, that is beyond ridiculous.

Can. Typical pilsener. Thought this was from the Surinam brewery, which makes the Djogo, so I actually tried to score a country here. Too bad.

1 L bottle. bought in Amsterdam. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Lightbitter flavor. Short finish. Very watery palate, but not that bad, but I would think it is a pale lager....

[Bottled, thanks ZWR!] Bright golden, no head. Spicy papery nose. No hops, nor any other obvious flavour. Instead there are vague traces of decomposing vegetables and butter soluted in sugar. Medium bodied with rounded, bold mouthfeel. No bitterness.

An orange beer with a small white disappearing head. The aroma is sweet malty and so is the flavor. A very simple beer with a thin body.

A light yellow beer with a fine head. The aroma as well as the flavor is sour, from the rice it is brewed on. This is not a beer I'll try again - but it gave me another country.
