Can to snifter.
Appearance: pours jet black then is jet black in the glass; slim cap of a dark tan foamy head sat on top and dissipated at a nice pace then left some mild lace around the glass.
Aroma: dark roasted malts; some maple syrup, authentic coconut, light doughy/pastry tones, light coffee roastiness
Flavor: blends all the prior noted aromas together sweetly with a touch of roasty quality; light aftertaste of roastiness and coffee
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper; clean smooth to roasty vibes along the tongue; finishes roasty and semi-maple-y with some coconut tones
Overall: man, what a knockout of a pastry stout, I'd love to have this one again.

Can to snifter.
Appearance: super dark brown almost very close to black in the glass with a thing foamy tan head that took it's time to mellow out then leave some light lace.
Aroma: roasted dark malts, big coffee vibes - sweet and roasty, nice dose of the vanilla beans and a gentle underscore of some dark chocolate
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas together fairly roasty and sweet; mild aftertaste of roasty coffee tones to some dark chocolate
Texture: medium bodied; this one's a sipper; great balance of roast to sweet tones running along my tongue - nothing clingy, nothing harsh just greatness here; finishes roasty and sweet
Overall: a very nicely done imperial stout by Bolton Landing. Looking forward to coming back to this one!

Can to tulip.
Appearance: burnt orange color with a one and a quarter fingers of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: some citrusy tones of lemon and orange up front with a light coriander in the middle and on the back end some sweet wheat and a touch of tart inside the wheat; ever so sly Belgian yeastiness
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas together fairly nice; mild aftertaste of coriander and some lemon
Texture: light to medium bodied, some sessionability about it; fairly mobile along the tongue with some smoothness as the coriander does not disturb too much here (I'm slightly impressed - good job Bolton Landing); then mildly finishes with some lemon, Belgian yeasty tones and a touch of sweet wheat
Overall: now that's a pretty nicely done Belgian witbier I'd be willing to come back to!

Can to chalice.
Appearance: dark brown to mahogany color with a thin cap of a little white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some mild lace.
Aroma: sweet caramel/toffee tones, mild earthiness, dark fruits, cinnamon, chocolate and some grassiness
Flavor: seemed to blend the prior noted aromas sweetly with a touch of spice, no aftertaste
Texture: between light and medium bodied, of the sipper quality, some woody spice harshness on the tongue, finishes semi-smooth
Overall: not really a Belgian Dubbel, I missed any Belgian spices and/or yeasty characters. Was there too much of the cinnamon in this? Hmmm, hard to say. Try again, Bolton Landing.
