12oz bottle split. Hazy golden tan color, some bubbly carbonation, thin head that fades out. Pleasantly sweet berry aroma. Well done, it manages to incorporate the lingonberry taste with the sugary complexities of a Tripel. Bold and full bodied, but also quite palatable. A little alcohol harshness in the finish, reminiscent of mead at times. Begins to feel wine-like after a little. An interesting flavor profile, maybe a little too strong for it’s own good. Certainly worth a try.

Pours a nice orangish-brown with good sized head and quite a bit of lacing in the glass as head dissipates. This is a very refreshing pale ale with a nice touch of hops bitterness and fruity notes, provided by the grapefruit peel. Quite tasty.

Bottle: Pours a beautiful golden/straw color with a thin white head. Scents of florals, yeast, and cloves. Tastes light and crisp with florals, more yeast, and a little barnyard earthiness. Just a hint of dough... almost has some pilsener in it? Crisp finish. I love that it comes in 12oz bottles... perhaps something new for the summer rotation? Fun!

An interesting beer that reminds me more of a wheat or witbier than a real Belgian saison. Pours a very light golden color with little to no head. Lots of carbonation bubbles. Complex aroma with spice and fruit notes. The flavor has some orange peel, some coriander, some underlying maltiness. A bit thin in palate and finish. Nice to see Minnesota brewers trying something new, but this one falls a bit short of memorable.

WTWBA Minnesota, ’09. Light amber color with considerable carbonation. Raspberry aroma immediately. There is some yeast, but it really isn’t sour. Raspberry in the flavor, but it is light. Very little sweetness. Some hint of balsamic. Thin on the palate.

ABR, 2009 on draught. Opaque gold color. Aroma of warm chai and light coffee. Cinnamon, nutmeg is there for sure. A little sweet, some gingerbread. Much more interesting than Farm Girl. I think this is better classified as a spiced beer, as it has none of the qualities common to a saison.

12 oz twist off bottle purchased for me by my Dad at Zipps in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with an assist to tytoanderso. Brewed and bottled by Lift Bridge Beer Co, Stevens Point, Wisconsin - did Point brew / bottle this? Pour is hazed yellow slight pea green, two inch pure white head. Falls with no lacing. Aroma of soft bready malts, and citrus earthy yeastiness. Soft and inviting nose. Taste is grainy hay straw grass, earthy sweetness malt and the citrus flowery yeastiness. Maybe a bit sweeter than I normally like my Saisons. Finish is a little grassy dirty. Palate is medium, mouth coating with medium carbonation. As always, thanks for making these transactions smooth Tyler.

On tap at Groveland Tap. Poured a cloudy gold with red and orange tints. Head was white and thin. Aroma was light and fruity (apples and cherries present) with some yeasty notes. Flavor was nice and light as well. Some apple and cherry notes. A nice light sweet beer.

Draught at Moto-I. Light red color. Aroma with some yeast and malt, a little sugar, and fruit. Flavor is similar. A very sweet beer. More yeast, and lots of berries with some malt sweetness. Medium palate. Like everything from Lift Bridge, this is a step above. When you read the description, one might think of a beer with a little fruit and a bad tripel, but this this beer is quality. The fruit essence is authentic, rather than artificial.

Shaker @ moto-i. Completely dirty, murky orange. Has a sticky surface covering lacing. Aroma is hops of tangerine and light fruit punch. Flavor is a bit more muffled and a bit more tangerine and less fruit punch. Descent stuff, not vibrant enough.
