On draught at the brewpub. The beer is an opaque dark brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate malt, peanut butter and a bit of coffee. Rich and smooth body with a nice peanut butter mocha flavor that is sweet but not cloying. Mild coffee bitterness underneath throughout. The finish is malty with a roasty, peanut butter finish that lingers. Good beer all around.

Sample at the brewpub, and a growler for home. This Wee Heavy is a dark amber-mahogany color with a medium off-white head that dissipates to an outer ring slowly. Strings and spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark malt, caramel and fruit. Medium to full body with flavors of roasted malt, dark fruit, caramel and mild hops. The finish is rich and malty with a lingering sweetness left behind. Above average overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a mostly clear dark amber color with a medium off-white head that burns away steadily. Sticky rings of lacing. Piney hops aroma with touches of malt. Medium body with a strong resiny and piney hops character offset slightly by sweet caramel malt. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Decent beer overall.

On draught at 69 Taps in Akron. The beer is hazy orange-amber in color with a medium white head that has fair retention. Patchy lacing on the glass. The aroma is piney hops with a little bit of malt and grapefruit. Medium-bodied with a good bitter quality. Resiny hops flavor coupled with fruity esters and more pine. Just a bit of malt here as well. The finish is tart and hoppy and lingers awhile. All in all there is not much to complain about here, this is a solid IPA all around.

On draught at the brewpub. Pours like a glass of cold black coffee with a minute beige head and no lacing to speak of. Strong espresso and caramel aroma. Rich body and silky smooth, with a flavor like coffee with creamer added. Some roasted malt and hops flavors too. The finish is smooth and creamy with more coffee flavor and a somewhat bitter roasty aftertaste. I am not really a coffee drinker but I like this quite a bit.

Sample at the brewpub: Pours black with a thin and fluffy beige head. Very little lacing. Aroma of malt, grain and some chocolate. Medium-bodied and creamy (just a little thin for a Stout), with chocolate malt and coffee flavors. Hints of vinegar here and there as well. The finish is smooth with a lingering coffee aftertaste. Good enough for an Oatmeal Stout but felt like it was lacking a little in many areas.
