0,44 l can, brewed in Berlin, Getränke Hoffmann on the label. BB 21.02.2026. Yellow golden in the glass, slightly cloudy with a more than one finger white foamy head. Looks good. Grain and straw aroma, some bitterhop elements. Taste is smooth grainy with caramel, increasing citrus. Cereales and soft bitterness in the second part. Above average carbonated

Das Scheitern der großspurig angetretenen Craftbier-Bewegung zeigt sich auch daran, daß in der letzten Zeit etliche Craft-Brauer die Produktion von supermarkttauglichen, bezahlbaren Bieren traditioneller Sorten aufgenommen haben. Das von BrewDog in Berlin gebraute "Cold Beer" trägt sogar das Logo der Getränkekette Getränke Hoffmann. - "BrewDog Cold Beer", 44-cl-Dose von Getränke Hoffmann, Berlin, 3.8.2025. - Goldgelb, fast klar. - In der Nase blasse, schwach exotisch angehauchte zitronige Hopfung. - Antrunk arg dünn hellmalzig mit einem Hauch von Malzsüße und sehr milder, weich zitrusfruchtiger Hopfung mit einer Spur von Eleganz (Citra und Loral nennt die Website). Gut rezent, erfrischend. Im Abgang nur sehr milde, beinahe matte Herbe. - Süffiges Schankbier mit einem Quentchen mehr Geschmack als üblich; ideal für den angedrohten "Höllensommer", auf den wir aber vorerst verzichten müssen.

A clear golden yellow beer with a white head. Aroma of mild sweet grainy malt, straw, grains. Taste of decent sweet pale malt, grains, spicy hops.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass brownish, not black. Nice head. Starts mild, malty, modest dry. Shy roasty, not too intense. Light earty-woody notes. Finish well balanced with a light metallical touch. Okay.
