Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours an opaque black leaving fatty curtains and a tiny film of an off-white head. Sweet aroma of roast and licorice but overpowered by gluey off-notes from a bad barrel. Booze as well. Rich body, cloyingly sweet licorice and completely flat. Moldy, fusty, woody and brutally boozy. Mega flawed. 200426

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a dark brown with a small, rough, beige head. Booze dominates the nose paired with some dark, dried fruits and smoke. Rich sweet body - cloyingly sweet - and completely flat. Some dark dried fruits and a hint of Belgian yeast. Peated smokiness and an overwhelmingly boozy finish. 200426

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a lacing, white head. Very weird aroma of phenols and pure alcohol - where's the expected smokiness? Super rich and cloyingly - no CLOYINGLY - sweet and sugary with some Bamberg smoke. Faint though. Bitterness? Ha! As seemingly all Smedsbo this is totally out of balance and just a sugary mess. 240326

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours an almost clear amber with a fizzy, short, beige head. Dusty, slightly smoky aroma - Bamberg style. Super sweet, super fizzy with these completely out of place Bamberg smoke notes. So sticky sweet caramel that it's hard to digest. 240326

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a clear amber with a tiny, rough, off-white head. An aroma of mostly honey and booze. Rich, sweet maltiness with a smoky edge and only subtle sweet gale. Honeyish and caramelly and completely flat. Warming alcohol finish. Strange creation, more reminiscent of a mead. 200326

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Cloudy pale amber, minimal head. Peppery nose with canned pineapple. Really sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Peaches in syrup, alcohol, hay and notes of manure. Intensely warming, mid bitter finish.

(Bottle sample, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 25 Oct 2025) Golden colour with foamy, white head. Fruity, vinous nose with grapes, champagne and heather. Fruity taste with notes of green grapes, champagne, grass, pears, citrus and heather. Hardly any bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Herbal, citric and winey. Quite interesting, with a slight champagne touch. Very nice.
