On tap. Pours a murky deep brown with a tiny off-white head - looks like French Press coffee before the piston is pushed! There’s a vague citrusy aroma combined with subtle roast. Medium body, roast and chocolate notes again some subtle aroma hops that doesn’t leave much of an impact bitterness wise. Not a bad beer but I’m not sure I would’ve guessed it to be a Black IPA. 170212

From tap at YNWA. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is crisp hoppy and dark malty. Bitter, toasted malty, citrusy and peachy. Smooth toffee malty flavoured. Bitter and crisp hoppy into the finish.

On tap at YNWA. Cloudy amber with a lasting, creamy white head. Grassy and slightly vegetable-like aroma with a (yeasty?) off-note of iodine. Sweetish malty flavour with strong grassy character. The grass/iodine combo was rather off-putting

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. It pours a creamy, off-white head of moderate size over an orange to copper colored body. Lacings. Not much oak or smoke detected in the aroma, there’s alcohol and grapefruit though. Some oak and vanilla in the flavor, along with citrus notes, grapefruit and a pleasant malty sweetness. Silky mouthfeel, full-bodied and warming. Lasting bitter finish with a certain warmth. A quite nice one. 110528

Draught @ Olfestival 2011 Kobenhavn. Hazy amber color with a small off white head. Frutiy aroma, ginger and caramel. Sweet malty taste with lots of ginger, fruit and caramel. i was never a fan of ginger in beer,( still I am not) but I finished it and enjoyed it.
