Bottle at De Molen 2nd Tuesday tasting. Poured a slightly cloudy yellow straw colour. There is lots of life in this beer and there was a nice frothy head with some lacing. At 8.1% it's no surprise that the alcohol is quite prominent in he flavour. Lots of bitterness and a very smooth bitter aftertaste. A good choice of hops. A good refreshing summer ale. Actually reminds me a little of Duvel! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy opaque brown with a lively beige head that dissipates quickly. Dry and lightly vinous aroma, slightly tart. Medium body with a very lively carbonation, a distinct vinous tartness, some red berries and a little yeast. The finish is dry and tart. Somewhat rustic but fairly interesting. 280712

Bottle, thanks to Tom and Rene. It pours cloudy amber, with pretty much no head. The nose is smoke, ham, smoked cheese and caramel. The taste is caramel, resin, leaf, smoke, peat, alcohol warmth and a hint of citrus. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth. An interesting smoky beer..
