Cask @ Horniman at Hays, London. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and butter. Flavor is quite sweet. Sweet finish. Yuck. This beer was in a terrible condition. 051013

Cask at the moon under water Waterford JDW. Clear golden golden colour with a thin loose white head. Aroma is light grassy hop with touch of citrus lemon. Light English esters. Flavour is clean bready malt, grassy lemon hop, dirty bitterness. Slight rusty penny.

Cask at the Albert and the Lion, JDW, Blackpool. Pours gold with a medium head. Aroma is zesty citrus. Taste has straw and lemon to start with a bitter citrus finish.

Cask @ Honima at Hays. Clear amber with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, caramel, toffee and butter. Flavour is malt, fruit, caramel, medium sweet, little toffee, little butter, spices and thin.

(Cask) Hazy amber with slight white head. Subtle malty aroma. Light body with fine carbonation. Taste is crisp and refreshing - tangy slightly citrus with a nice hoppy lightly bitter finish. An excellent refreshing easy drinking bitter.

Keighley Beer Festival. Very dark with a small head and as the programme notes suggested it does have a plummy sweetness and a dry bitterness.

Bottle from bu11zeye. Who has given me wondrous beers, but I thank him especially for a rare real ale. Oh to be in England. Again. Pours cloudy dark brown with no head. Aromas of dark fruit and treacle. Med body. Flavor is very, very plummy. Dark malt. Touch of chocolate. But mostly very, very plummy. Itโs delicious. Finishing towards dry. Somehow itโs related to a plummy Belgian Quad. Amazing stuff.

Cask @ The Phoenix Tavern, Faversham. Clear, slightly reddish, golden body with a small and fast disappearing off-white head. Aroma has caramel malt, some fruitiness and unfortunately some butterscotch. Flavor is as aroma, with some minor and not to unpleasant level of butterscotch. Medium body, not so much aftertaste. Otherwise rather straightforward bitter thatโs easy forgotten.
