Description
When good friends Ray Ashworth and David Crease got tired of the same old beers, they were determined to change things up a level. With a passion for homebrewing and creating authentic flavours, they became part of a new-wave revolution, handcrafting their own beers in the 1960s.

In 1981 they founded their own brewery near Norwich and moved to a converted farm complex in the picturesque Broadland village of Woodbastwick in 1989

Bottle on the Eurostar to Brussels as part of my Pre-Wedding Celebrations, thanks to Mr. Bunce. It pours amber, with a foamy white head. The nose is pear drops, sweet pear, melon, perfumed and tinned fruit salad. The taste is sweet syrup, wood, brown sugar, melon, pear, plum, raisin, currant and lots of booze. Medium body, moderate carbonation and syrupy mouth-feel. Far too boozy.
