Pours a very slight, light amber colour with a warm cap, average retention and lacing. Mild diacetyl aromas with the butter and caramel, but mild enough to not be gross, and helping is light hops. Fruity hints. The taste is better showing more the caramel malts, grainy cereal notes and decent hops for a golden ale. Goes down quite nicely and does the job for the style.

Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with an amber hue. The off-white cap is frothy with average stay, coating the brew for a while and creating a foamy ring. Spicy hop nose over the Kveik yeast which gives out fruity notes. Some cereal grains do come out with time. The taste is also pretty fruity, with the grains lingering and hints of honey. Still, not overly sweet and not syrupy, making this one easier to drink. Quite nice overall.

Pours a slight hazy golden colour with an off-white, warm frothy head, decent retention for a strong ABV and leaving some thick foamy lacing. Aromas of bananas and caramel with light Belgian Ale yeast. The flavours are pretty sweet with the malt, giving again some banana notes. Hints of other fruitiness. Nothing too crazy, but a nice end of the night cap strong brew.

Pours a very dark brown colour with little copper highlights. The head is pretty nice, almost creamy, warm darker beige, long lasting and leaving bubbly-creamy lacing. Aromas of roasted malts and flaked oats. Hints of lactose sweetness and chocolate. The taste shows lots of rusty water through what seems to be too strong hops, that do not fit the beer. In the back is the roasted malts and I cannot seem to find the coffee. Missing coffee, lactose sweetness over hoppy bitterness. Seems like a hoppier stout. About it.

Overall, very filtered golden colour with a fizzy white head that disappear rather quickly only leaving a foam ring on the brew. Spicy hop nose over sweet wheat grains, cloves and mild banana notes. Light flavours of the blend of things found in the nose: cloves, bananas and the hops are tamer here. Not too crazy rich, so easier to drink a lot. A hoppier aroma for the style, and weird to showcase hops in this one, but good Hefe-chugger.

Growler from the brewpub in Ottawa. Pours a dark brown colour with limited copper highlights, a smaller beige head leaving a ring around the brew. Roasted malt nose blended with the coffee and mild yeast. Hints of nuttiness as well. The taste is also pretty light with the combo of burnt malts and coffee. The mouthfeel is a tad tarty with the coffee grinds, but mostly dry in the finish. Not as rich as their original Coffee Porter, so easier to drink a whole growler.

Can from the LCBO. Very dark mahogany with a small dark brown head that fades quickly leaving no lace. Nose is chocolate, roasted nuts, a hint of dark fruit. Medium- milk chocolate sweetness with a light+ dark chocolate and coffee bitterness and the barest hint of cherry tartness. Mouth is medium+ and oily with soft carbonation. 7-/3/6/3/12

Part of their 2018 Canadian Brewpub Pack. Pours an unfiltered golden-amber colour with lots of particles running through it. The warm off-white head is big, long lasting delivering thick creamy lace. Big grassy hoppy nose with hints of coriander, honey. The taste is milder, but still has some the of herbal bitterness and honey. A little dry in the mouth. A very decent Session IPA that looks right.
