Will Palomar end up being a Pal ’ mine? After that heavy-handed Vanilla Porter of Mills Street, and recently trying that excellent execution of chili in the mix beer -Ommegang Game Of Thrones #3 - Fire and Blood, Mill Street might have their work cut out for them. Pours a nice amber with a half finger of dense white head. Lots of malt nose, little chili in nose. Whoa! Lots of spice, chilie spice in the first sip. Carmel malt too, not really getting any lime, or much out except for spice. Once again heavy-handed Mill St. Not impressed.

440 ml can from an LCBO in Toronto. A pitch black colour pour with an impressive, nitro-powered, milk chocolate coloured head about an inch thick; rich drinking chocolate aroma; a thin milky body with a pleasnt coffee taste, perhaps a little too sweet though; and a dry chocolate milk finish with a touch of bitterness. Overall rather good.

Bought this one in a growler. Pours a clean brown colour with an amber hue and a creamy light beige head that stays a long, long time. Aromas of nutty malts, toast and chocolate. A lot of the same for the taste, but with some mild hops, creating some light bitterness in the finish. Good thick creamy lace as the beer goes down smoothly, and the head is still there. Notes of sweet coffee as well. Quite a nice session dark lager, well representing the style.

Crisp clean aroma. Looks like pale lager. Is a little warm from a 16 oz can (funny since this is from acandahdah.) Taste is a little metallic but even warm has few negative connotations. Decent palate sizzle.

A golden amber ipa with a thin lacing light mocha head. In aroma, light caramel malt with light cherry notes, herbaceous character, not bad. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with cherries, fruity sourness, herbaceous character, OK. On tap at Ottawa location.
