355mL bottle (listed as 7.2%), pours a clear golden / copper with a medium beige head. Aroma of musty, earthy hops, some herbal notes and biscuity notes. Flavour is quite refreshing, with earthy hops, some herbal notes, and spicy biscuity malts. Very well-balanced and refreshing IPA. Good stuff.

Noticed that this was their last keg of this, for this year, so went to the Ottawa pub right away. Pours a dark brown colour with a creamy (nitro) beige head that has great retention and thick full lacing. Coffee smell at first, but then, bittersweet chocolate and vanilla with time. Becomes sweeter as the beer warms up. Silky creamy mouthfeel. Wet, but with a mild dry finish. No burning at all though. The roasted malt is smooth tasting, with coffee notes, and the chocolate comes out in the finish. This last one is more on the bitter side of things (than sweet). The hop also lingers nicely giving a nice grassiness, an even vanilla. This impy is quite easy to drink and well-balanced with all the flavours and aromas. Glad I could try this one (and will again next year... hopefully making this one again).

Can: Poured a black color stout with a huge creamy head with great retention and some lacing. Aroma of faint black chocolate is a bit too light for my taste and probably diminished by the amount of nitro used in this can. Taste is also a bit bland with some light notes of chocolate and some light dry roasted notes. Body is a bit light with great carbonation. The nitro makes for a nice creamy taste but kills also lots of the flavour which isn’t the best of things in this particular case.

Crazy wax-dipped 500ml jar. Very unusual. Pours a mostly clear ruby color with a medium white head. A sweet candy nose with dusty caramel. A very sweet and dusty flavor: some caramel, candied fruit, cherries, dry finish. Light warmth. Pretty nice, one-sided affair though.

Chocolate is milky in flavor, has a low roasted taste and a finish reminiscent of chocolate covered biscuits.

Part of their new 6-pack sampler celebrating 10 great years. Pours a clean golden-amber colour with an average head that leaves a nice creamy coating over the brew. Big malty grain nose at first with some sweetness. Medium-bodied and some nice stick to it. The taste is surprisingly mild overall, but nicely balanced between the sweet malt, the cereal grain and the hop bitterness. This is a nice addition to their tester pack and am pleased to try this.
