Can (Best by 3/12/34) from Westmere Beverage, Albany. Opaque, motor oil black, loud, fizzy head with poor retention, nice sparkle, nice viscosity, no lacing. Aroma is strong, earthy malt, vanilla, whiskey. Taste is strong earthy malt, molasses, oak, whiskey, spice, vague background undercurrent of dark fruit. Smooth, thick texture, full bodied, soft carbonation, alcohol warmth, crisp finish as taste. Very nice! Subtle flavor contributions for many components but good complexity vs. aroma. Enjoyable.

Can.
A- Gold color, slightly hazy liquid, off white head.
A- Pickle brine, subtle pepper spice.
F- Pickle brine, slightly salty, peppery, slightly spicy.
T- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, spicy finish.
O- I like a good pickle beer and I was told this had horseradish in it which I don't know if that is true or not. Not bad but it's a novelty. Definitely had a hot finish which I didn't expect based on the initial palate. Okay. More fun than anything else.

Aromas are lemonade pale beer. Flavors are similar to nose. Just slightly more sweet than tart with just right carbonation. Tasty lemonade shandy that hides its strength.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a slight tan head. Aroma of graham flour and marshmallow. Full bodied. Quite malty. Quite sweet, but not sticky. Malt is somewhat balanced by roasty malt bitterness. And by some dark chocolate bitter. Definitely has graham flour and marshmallow. Nicely done.

Can from Tavour. Pours very dark brown with a small and transient dark tan head. Aroma has brandy and chocolate. Full bodied. Not dry. Avoids sticky. Flavor is the aroma with some dark toffee, heat and some oak astringency. Heat and wood fairly balance the malt.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear rather cherry red with a small tan head. Aroma has a lot of smoke. Med body. Smoky and fairly dry. Bitter and a little spicy. Perhaps Nobel hop. The smoke suggests a fruit wood. I could think cherry. Just excellent lager.

Can @ HJ Hansen, Odense. Pours Dark Brown with a large frothy head. Smooth and soft. Chocolate and slight roast. Ashes and a whiff of smoke. Harmonic though certainly not robust - but it’s 5%. Well made session quaffer.
