12 ounce can from Tavour. Just came today. Do frogs celebrate Oktoberfest? Copper colored pour is topped by a rocky beige head. Aromas of toasted malt and toffee. Flavor upfront is sweet toasted malt, toffee and spicy hops. Medium bodied and flavorful. A bit of baked apple and toasted walnuts in middle. Even some booziness. Overall, a really nice interpretation of this classic style. Prost!

Can picked up from Hereford Beer House and consumed at Jude and Baz's, Spond, nr Kington, Herefordshire Friday 17th October 2025, shared with Baz. Had this in the company of Keith, David, Annasley, Georgia and the kids. Pours black in colour with a slim off-white head. The peanut butter wins out in the nose and batters all other elements into submission, ok there is a little chocolate and caramel as well but it's not holding up to the mighty peanut butter. Flavour following a similar trajectory, mostly peanut butter, it's smooth easy drinking and after the 15% beast from Omnipollo a short time ago this is much more measured. It's a rich beer, nice soft mouthfeel and whilst not up there with the best that Hoppin' Frog do, it's nonetheless still a v.good beer.

Thanks omhper! Amber colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is dried fruits, some wood, mild spices and some alcohol sweetness to it. Flavour is dried fruits, sweet malts, alcohol sweetness with some ripe plum and a bit spicy and caramelly tones.

Black with brown edges. The head is not very large. Smells a lot of dark chocolate. You can also smell a little coffee and peanuts. Smells a bit like chocolate ice cream. Tastes like chocolate and cold, bitter coffee. The body is relatively thin; the alcohol content should have been much higher.

Spotty beige head on an amber coloured still body.
Malt, caramel, ginger & spiced aroma.
Medium bodied, tingly on the tongue with a cloying back.
Toffee, spiced, herbal & cinnamon tastes with a ginger finish.
Heavy going.

Canned, from Systembolaget. Clear amber, small head. Peppery caramelly nose with some pears. Sweet with full to massive body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and pear brandy, sweaty citrus. Really bitter finish with a good punch of alcohol heat.
