A hazy amber beer with a nice orange head. The aroma has a dusty hoppy note, while the flavor has an acidic malty base combined with the dusty hoppiness. The acidity gets stronger and stronger for each sip.

Bottle at London Gathering Nov 05. Dark copper colour with no head. Slightly sour nose with yeast and bitter aroma. Sourish in mouth with some yeast/bitter/sour on the end. I remember both Silk and I wanted to check the bottle as we were not sure what this was.

(Bottle 50 cl) Dark amber, no head and a very low carbonation. Slightly hazy with a bottle sediment. Weak yeasty nose. Weak, slightly sweetish malty feel and a soft touch of hops leaving more aroma than bitterness. Quite pleasant and quaffable beer. 210405

(Bottle 50 cl) Dark mahogany with a touch of red. Slightly hazy pretty much without any head. Rather low carbonation also. Very spicy - I sense oranges and licorice - but I believe it’s all esters. There’s no mention of spices on the label. Very dry with a marked but not overwhelming bitterness. Some notes of cough syrup. Very unusual beer. 130405

Draught at Carlsen’s Kvarter, Odense. Served too cold. Chestnut colour. Aroma and flavour are very fruity (plums), nearly acidic / vinegary. Decent maltiness, notes of English malt vinegar. Minimal hops. Refreshing and pleasant to drink. Acidic even in the finish, but a wormwoodlike bitterness pops up in the aftertaste.

Bottled. Beautifully nut brown. Elegeant peach aroma. Distinctly acidic. Like a decent attempt to copy Cantillon FouFoune, but with a tad more flowery wild yeast character. I can’t say it’s unpleasant, but from a beer called Braveheart with a label featureing a castle on a green hill behind a scotch plaid red pattern I’d more expect a malty, firm scotch ale than a peach lambic.

Cloudy amber color; small head. The aroma features a quite nice amount of aromatic and fruity hops and caramel (but vanishes too quickly). The flavor is quite simple and less interesting, but most of all shows clear traces of infection, that lowers a bit the score…
