33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Black, thin beige head. Not much of a stout aroma, more of a Belgian estery aroma. It has some choc in the flavour in the middle. Really not very much of a stout. Some dark malts. As I say, not much of a stout, but ok as a vaguely dark malt drink.

8/4/6/2/13 Black and shiny with a tall, tan head. Rich dark malt aroma, sweet, with caramel, spices, raisins, cookies, and sesame oil. Sweet, spicy flavor, rich and fruity with dark fruits (cherry and raisins) and licorice, but a bit simple. Yeasty, slightly hopped finish. Thin, slightly fizzy body. Decent and enjoyable but not too special.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts strong, also sweet, a bit malty. Modest alcoholic in the background. Well balanced, warming finish. Good beer!

(25cl bottle, 5.7% abv on the front- and 6.5% abv on the back-label !) Hazy, dark brown coloured hue with yeast-flakes and a big light-beige foamy head. Quite strong roasty malty nose with caramel, licorice and sourish fruity notes. Moderately roasty bitter flavour with a mild malty sweetness giving balance, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Roasty malt-character with a light sourish fruity presence, rounded up with caramel, licorice and notes of chocolate; pretty dry and roasty bitter finish with a noticeable level of alcohol (21.V.09).

Pitch black with a low tan head and a roasty, liquorice aroma. Flavor is sweet, burnt, with liquorice, caramel, and brown sugar. It has a strange, slightly unpleasant aftertaste. The interest here, though, is the mouth feel. Thin, yet unbelievably bubbly, seemingly exploding in the mouth, then moving to a rich, smooth feeling. The carbonation makes it feel thicker. One of the most original beers I have had in a long time.

2007 Bottle at Capital Ale House - Downtown on 05/11/2009. Clear dark brown body with ruby highlights. Sugary and fruity aroma with some faint roastiness. Sweet sugary, fruity flavor with some chocolate, roast, and a bit of caramel. Medium body with moderately high carbonation.

Bottle. Pale gold color with a huge frothy white head. Light noble hop aromas. Mild malt flavor with citrus/coriander and floral hop. Mildly bitter. Hard to believe it’s 8.5!

A clear dark brown ale with a thin light moka head, gushed out of bottle. A nice caramelly and fruity aroma, with vanilla, a bit of chocolate and alcohol. In mouth, a bit simpler than expected, with sweet candy sugar, a bit of nuts, and a rather oily mouthfeel, a bit cloying. Not bad. Bieropholie import. BB 12-07-08.

A hazy godlen ale with a thin white head. A pleasant sweet caramel , orange pulp, and alcohol. In mouth, a sweet candy sugar, with orange peels, fruity esters, hops, and warming alcohol. Bieropholie imprt, BB 18-12-08.
