Bottle, slightly after BB date. Metal, citrus, wood and chocolate aroma. Dark red, fairly carbonate, brown head. Full dark sugar, nutty chocolate malt base, citric play, dates and wood. Carbonation needs to be beat out. Light fresh citric aftertaste. Nice.

Pour is a very dark red with a huge tan head. Aroma is nice. Some chocolate and dark fruit with a bit of smoke in there. Flavor is super sweet and almost to sweet. Some spices come on in the end but again this is overly sweet. This is one of those beers that has its good points(nice aroma) and bad(to much sugar). Still its reasonably afforadable so go ahead and try it.

Pop.. Sprinkly lively carbonation. Nice hazy yellow body with a little white head. Aroma is of yeast & spices. Soft, sprinkly & filling mouthfeel. Hoppy & dry end. Nice!

Dark brown, no head. Toasty nose with slight cherry. Sweet, simple chocolate palate. A bit of oiliness detracts from the mouthfeel. Weird stout, no sense of purpose that I could figure out. Just not a beer brewed for my tastebuds I guess.

Pour is a black with a large white head. Aroma is dark malt and chocolate but then comes the Belgian yeast and some barnyard. Flavor is lots of barnyard and Belgain yeast with just the right amount of cocoa and toasted malts. Some one below called this a farmhouse stout and i could not agree more. A very different rep of the style with the Belgain yeast.

Bottle: Poured a light amber ale with a big foamy head with good retention but little to no lacing. Aroma of sweet candi sugar with some very light spices and yeast. Taste is also dominated with some cloying sweetness with some hints of spices. Texture is somewhat oily and cloying with a medium body and no alcohol was discernable. Definitely lacking some character to make this one truly appalling.

750 ml bottle; bb ? (rather illegible, could be 05). The last bottle in Ledger’s, so it may be aged!) Aroma of dark plummy fruit, darkish malt, anise, yeast/spice. Very dark brown color with a ringed head. Thin in body, near creamy in carbonation. Dark toasted malts, sweetness, peppery spice, touch of anise, perhaps some chocolate. Very smooth, very clean. Not your typical burnt stout. Finish is rather dry with pepper notes. Not a trace of heat. Very good, very different, drink.

A solid tripel. Aroma has light alcohol and wildflowers. Cloudy, light orange color. Flavor is a little sweet, lightly spiced, and the alcohol is well hidden. Medium palate. It has a soft, airy quality. Very drinkable.
