This is good. Kind of a fusion style. Dry roasted malt, but also sour brett character in the aroma. Flavor is a little sour as well with light chocolate as well as a light oatmeal stout flavor. Very smooth and easy to drink; the high abv sneaked up on me.

(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, amber golden with a small, dense, white head. Aroma of fruit and yeast. Medium body, quite dry with pale malts, lightly yeasty with a limited bitterness. A very quaffable Triple. 050407

750ml bottle. Clear, golden with a decent white head. Aroma is floral and a bit candysweet. Flavor is sweet, spicy with a hint of alcohol. Quite a nice and harmonic triple, but a bit simple. Not to many surprises here. Long aftertaste.

330ml bottle. Hazy orange body with a creamy white head. Aroma is fruity and sour. Flavor is fruity, malty, spicy and a bit acidulous. The total impression is not to great.

Bottle. Clear golden ale with a medium white head. A malty aroma. Flavor is balanced, not to sweet malt and not so much more. A straight forward pale and balanced ale that’s OK, but soon forgotten.

750ml bottle. Dark red/brown body with a beige head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, roasted, coffee and chocolate. This beer doesn’t remind me of a stout at all, but it’s still quite nice. Maybe a bit unbalanced.

Bottle. Dark brown body with a big off-white head. A moderate fruity, slightly roasted malt aroma. Flavor is Roasted caramel malt with notes of coffee. A very nice and pleasant brune, but not outstanding.

Poured from the 0.75L darkish brown with frothy tan head. Initially the aroma is figs and raisins. As it warms it becomes even fruitier. Not very stout like. The taste starts with lots of carbonation for a “stout” that causes an explosion of dark fruit flavors like dates, figs, raisins and tart grapes. Then I get coriander and a hint of cinnamon almost midway. Beyond that are faint notes of molasses and roasted malts that show up to put on a brief sense of a stout flavor. But not really. At the finish I’m left with tingling residual carbonation, fig and prune fruitiness and an ever so slight roasted maltiness, possibly chocolate. This brew is much more Belgian Ale than Stout.
