Tap at Burza #4. How did I not try this before? Clear full golden body, thick white head. Apple-driven sweetish aroma with some herbal notes. Yea, not that impressive for a Czech lager, but tolerable... and the taste goes even more down. Malt, lightly buttery, vegetal notes, yeasty-meaty notes. Creamy body, but the taste is simply bad. The mouthfeel, which isn't terrible, keeps it tolerable, but I don't see myself paying for this ever again except maybe, maaaaybe knowingly fresh at the brewery. Maybe. A drainpour I paid a higher-end PU price for.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a beige / tan head. Aroma: dough, roasted coffee, caramel, herbal hints. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, dark malts, prune, roast coffee, nutty. Medium body with frothy carbonation.

Bottle from Tesco OC Nový Smíchov. Beautiful amber-red body, but with an all too fleeting off white head. Soft, light aroma, vague caramel, vague berries, so far so good. The taste manages to be all too dry and rough when cold, but again, with some change in temperature, a vague sweetish caramelly-berry note shows up there, in front of some bitterness. Not unpleasant, okay beer really, but like the other Herold, a grower more than anything.

Bottle from the big Tesco in OC Nový Smíchov. Clear, full golden body, white head. Slightly fruity aroma, clean maltiness generally, vague flowery notes. Lean, very lean taste, very dry body too, so smooth, sliding on a vaguely herbal note and almost disappearing before hitting a bitterish herbal finish that's metallic here and there at times and extremely vaguely tart. It's a more interesting trip than it seems at first, the hoppiness breaking through here and there, the odd notes countering. Within the same glass it went from 2.6 to 3.2, but say that this is roughly right. For a macro(ish) brewery, a good one.

# 2260; 9/2020. Malty, herbal and yeasty aroma. Briliant gold body; persistant white head. Malty, herbal and floral, slightly spicy and yeasty. Good bohemian pilsner. 0,3 l, draught, multitap pub, Pilsen (Bohemia, CZ).

# 2009; 5/2020. Yeasty to mouldy aroma. Brilliant gold body, creamy head. Mouldy, light bodied, malty, glucose syrup. Very poor bohemian lager. 0,3 l, bottle, local pub, Míšov (Bohemia, CZ).

# 1776; 1/2020. Malty, celar. Gold, clear body. Malty, spicy, high carbonation, worty finish. Bad bohemian lager. 0,5 l bottle, beershop, Prague. Definitely not czech amber lager - it is bohemian pilsner.
