Keg, Covent Garden. Pale dull amber. The aroma is caramel-accented and fairly clean. A little bit of caramel on the palate with light alcohol back notes. Drinks mellow for a 7% beer.

11.2 oz bottle into my all-purpose Sam Adams glass. Cool pop top ring on this thing. Anyway, aroma is licorice, bread, fresh roasted coffee, toasted marshmallows; spicy and complex. There really is an unidentifiable aroma present here, like the label says. I thought that was funny they put that on there. Pours a dark reddish brown with a medium long-lasting bone-white head. When it does recede, it leaves a constant scrim of foam and milky lacework. Taste is bittersweet and a little sour in the finish. Oysters are noticeable, but not overbearing (I’m not a big fan of oysters). Medium bodied, fairly high carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Very nice.

Malty barley nose. Amber color, medium head, good lacing. Tart malt and full of flavor. It’s not exotic, but it isn’t supposed to be. What it is is a well crafted and made irish red.

12 oz. bottle at the Brick Store Pub. Pours black with a short dark tan head. The aroma is coffee, saltwater, and raw oysters. It tastes like a run-down waterfront. Overly bitter and unpleasant. Even if you like oysters, you probably won’t like this.

bottle - Pours hazy copper with a one finger off-white head. It smells mainly of hops with notes of citrus. The flavor is moderately bitter with a solid malt balance. There’s lingering bitterness and it’s not crisp which makes me think this beer should be consumed as fresh as you can get it. Decent brew.

tap - Pours golden with a lingering white head. It smells of grainy malt with a hint of fruit and hops. The flavor has light hops bitterness and sweet, rather grainy malt. It’s light bodied and fizzy. Not bad.

tap - Pours black with a lasting tan head. It has a big milk chocolate aroma. The flavor is sweet and roasty and damn near buried in chocolate. Medium bodied with a lingering, slightly bitter chocolate finish, it works though it could perhaps be a bit more subdued on the chocolate.
