Schooner on tap at Generous Squire, Perth. Hazy golden beer with thin white head. Hugh carbonation, citric nose. Initial taste of malt gives way slowly to a finish of tangerine and guava. Excellent for 3.5%! Moreish quencher.

Bottle - Pours a clear rich gold colour with a small frothy off white head. Aroma is light, not what I was expecting, caramel malt, citrus and a little pine. An initial hit of hop bitterness, grapefruit, earthy spice and pine flavours followed by some malty sweetness fading in light dry finish.

From Feb 2006
Poured from bottle(room temp) a hazy amber with a large head of foam that dissipated fairly quickly leaving 1 large clump and a fine layer.
The smell is quite nice with a mix of malt and hops
The taste was very smooth with nice balance between the hop bitterness and the sweetness from the malt. I also sensed nutty and vanilla tones and they helped make this beer quite drinkable.
Bottom line: This is a good amber ale. One I'd buy again.

Bottle 345ml (BB 06.02.2018). Clear amber colour, ecru head. There is caramel note mix with citrus in aroma. Beer is light, even a little bit watery with malty character like caramel and small, resin and citrus bitterness. Drinkable but too much malty and too less hoppy.

345ml bottle into schooner glass. Aroma of stonefruit, malt and pepper. Cloudy amber beer with fluffy white head. Some lacing. High carbonation. Light and fizzy in the mouth, Finish really shows the guava and passionfruit. Yeasty notes at the end make this reminiscent of a Berliner Weiss. Not bad.

345ml bottle into shaker. Beautiful clear golden bronze beer with thin white head and medium carbonation. A little lacing. Aroma of malt and slight hops. Light body, slight fizz. Taste and finish have caramel and subdued fruity hops. Dry fruit right at the end makes this really easy drinking. Nice session beer, should be available on tap.

Taster at Beer Deluxe, Sydney. Nose is sweet peppermint (think after dinner mints). Clear golden bronze beer with thin creamy white head. Laces well. Low carbonation. Full bodied. Flavour is more sweet mint but balanced with a grassy medicinal aniseed finish. A great 'special' from James Squire. Couldn't drink more than one though.

Deep amber color. Off sweet, malty palate that shows pears, toffee and peaches. Good depth for the style. Nice beer

Bottle sample at a tasting at Stas’ place. Thanks kerenmk. Deep golden. Cardboard, oxidation, honey, sweetish, faint bitterish note. Old. Not good.
