On tap at The Squire's Landing, Sydney. Brown beer with a foamy white head. Smoky malt nose, medium carbonation, light body. Taste is chocolate. Patchy lacing. Finish is clean and crisp with a bit of lingering sweetness right at the end. Nice.

Keg at South Whatf Promenade, Melbourne. A humble pale ale that did the job for the pints. I like this Aussie knack of low abv pale ales. Hoppy and light.

Pint on tap at The Charming Squire, Brisbane. 4%. Red/brown ale with small creamy head. Light carbonation. Smoky cocoa chocolate nose. Good lacing. Excellent taste, dark chocolate with dried fruit finish. Light body, low ABV. Could use a bit of oomph but a nice drinkable ale.

Bottle ordered from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. Aroma is earthy, malty with a stone fruit edge. Hazy orange. Foamy bright white head. Medium bitter with a big fruity Sour streak. Spice. Light grapes. Light. Thin if slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Doesn't have great depths to it but a light and refreshing Pale.

330ml can into pint glass. From BWS, Glen Innes. Looks like murky red wine. Smells like ginger beer. Does actually taste like sangria with a late ginger bite. Smashable, easy-drinking. Who at James Squire thought 'Hey, lets put sangria in our ginger beer!'

0.33 l bottle as 'James Squire Lashes', gift from my sister's trip to AUS. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity-floral, a bit grassy aroma of lemon peel, gooseberry and some pineapple. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, gently fruity-floral and a bit grassy taste of grains, lemon peel, gooseberry and pineapple, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!
