Description
In 1999 the brewery was established in the ''Commanderie van St. Jan'' in Nijmegen. This 12th century monastery has since been our production location and also the place where beer has been drunk most for years. In Brouwerscafé De Hemel, the 12 taps are always filled with different brewes from Hemel. Beer production takes place in the cellars of the Commanderie.

33cl bottle (houdbaar tot in den eeuwigheid, aldus l’etiket) shared with Dutchdrebus. Red colored like a barley wine should be. No head really. Not much aroma other than malts, some sweetness and alcohol. Taste malts, lots of alcohol, sweetness. Unbalanced imo. A bit dry finish, medium to full body, low to medium carbonation.
