Aroma is mild and odd with hayish tones, ash and soy sauce. Flavour has cocoa, hay, ash, licorice, soy sauce, some salty licorice and coffee. Finishes with some hoppiness. Rather dry.

Bottle from Biernavigatie, BB 08/04/17, large sample. Slight hazy golden color, medium frothy head. Aroma of citrussy hop, bit peach and apricot, slight caramelly malts. Soft to medium bitterness, slight caramel. Quite high in carbonation, bit dry in the finish. Decent.

Pours a rich copper from a bottle. Big caramel aroma is belied with a surprising dryness. A little bready sourness and almost rye spiciness/earthiness. Some caramel upfront but not long lasting. Nearly flat, but my wife opened the bottle a while ago I think. Pretty good beer.

Bottle from Flask. Almost clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and moderate hoppy - fruity and old hops. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 201016

Pours deep, hazy amber into a shaker. Bright white head with little retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Sour caramel and bready earth aromas. Crisp with sour earthy bread and caramel upfront turning to hot bitter caramel in the lasting finish.

Lichtbruin bier zonder schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en licht zoet met iets van fruit, sinaasappel en abrikoos. Smaak is OK maar heeft iets te weinig inhoud.

12 oz. bottle, thanks to Willrunforbeer on this Trappist pilsner!! Best before on label of: 3/09/17. Slight hazy gold, plenty of carbonated bubbles. Aroma is pils malt, corn husk, lager yeast, straw.
All the correct flavors, lager yeast through out with a clean finish. Light body and crisp. No flaws or mistakes and drinks nicely. Exactly as it should be. Well made

Bottle: Orangey coloured, cloudy, gushing - but instantly collapsing loose off-white head; sweetish vinous and grainy nose with a slight sourish-yeasty touch; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, a delicate acidity is still detectable, medium bodied, quite soft; lingerin fruity-yeasty finish with an increasing itterness and a slight alcohol burn in the aftertaste. Surely drinkable, not great, yet...
