Draft pour at Fury for a Feast 2019. Pours a pitch black with a small bit of beige head that dissipates. Big coconut forward nose with milk chocolate, cacao nib and light cinnamon. Big cinnamon on the palate. Abv hidden well. Lingering cinnamon that just goes on and on. Bourbon comes out a touch as it warms, but not overly boozy. Probably my favorite variant of the event.

Roasted malt on the palate, big vanilla & bourbon that lingers. Quite warming, but the bitter malt cuts any sweetness. Bold, roasty and big vanilla notes. I like it.

Draft pour at 2019 Fury for a Feast. Pours a deep brown with a finger of beige head that dissipates quickly. Maple and cashew nut forward nose with caramel and toffee notes that linger. All maple on the palate with pancakes, light bourbon and caramel and almond nut flavors. Surprisingly not overly cloying. Loads of maple throughout withe ABV being hidden super well. Nice Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, marshmallow, toffee, bourbon, toasted oak, fudge, brownie batter, and dark bread; with lighter notes of coconut, molasses, licorice, raisin, prune, cherry, fig, date, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, herbal, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Minimal booze in the aromas as it warms. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/black/roast/bready malts, vanilla, bourbon barrels, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with big strength. Light-medium carbonation and super full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, and slightly slick/sticky/chalky/tannic mouthfeel that is amazing. Mild increasing warmth of 13.5%, with no lingering barrel booze after the finish. Overall this is an amazing barrel aged flavored imperial stout! All around amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/black/roast/bready malts, vanilla, bourbon barrels, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the huge ABV, with the mildly bitter/tannic/drying finish; amazingly soft/silky feel for the ABV. Insanely rich malt/vanilla complexity, with perfectly balanced barrel presence/integration; mild earthy hops and fruity yeast notes. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and top tier quality style example as expected.

Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon zest, lime, peach, plum, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of blueberries, lemon zest, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge juicy/tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon zest, lime, peach, plum, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour/tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon zest, lime, peach, plum, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of blueberries, lemon zest, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance; with minimal puckering flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic/saline balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a fantastic fruited Gose! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of blueberries, lemon zest, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic/salty. Fantastic balance of super juicy/vibrant/jammy fruit and Lacto complexity; with a solid pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy drying. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example as expected.
