Can. Very hazy gold beer, very big bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy and fairly dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Thin malts. Lemon Verbena dominates. Floral lemon. Lemon curd. Bitterish lemon finish with a touch of spice. Not bad, quite drinkable.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, caramel, hops, licorice and has a nice hoppy finish.

From recently unearthed notes from August 2016. Keg at the Rake, Borough. Black pour with a quickly diminishing tan head. Nose of dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, black treacle, smoke, toffee. Flavours of smoke, dark chocolate, huge hit of coffee, raisin. Long smoky sweet finish. Very good.

Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, gooseberry, lemon zest, grapes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, fruity hops, grapes, lemon zest, gooseberry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20180726]

Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth shindig 04/08/2018. Many thanks. A dark brown coloured pour with a mid tan head. Aroma is woody pine, petrol, charred wood. Flavour is composed of woody roast, pine, charred wood, earthy, little vanilla. Palate is semi sweet. Oily, nice.
