Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub during tap takeover. Clear orange golden color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, piney hops, very bitter for an APA. Decent body and carbonation.

Tap @ Van Moll. Clear yellow colour with a medium sized white head. Smells hops, fresh, slightly fruity. Tastes fruity, hops, fresh, slightly bitter. Medium body, soft to medium carbo.

On nitro at Solana Beach location. Poured a creamy dark color with a rich, long lasting creamy off-white, light tan head. Aroma was light bitter malts, light coffee, bitterness. Flavor was pleasant coffee, bitter malts. Pretty tasty.

Draft pour at Solana Beach. Poured a dark, almost black brown color with a small white head. Aroma was lots of roasted malts, dark chocolate. More hop than I expected. Body was not as thick as an Imperial Stout normally is, at least to me. Flavor was slightly bitter, touch of roasted malts too.

Draft at the source. Poured a clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma was a blast of sage. Flavor was light sweet malts, some light bready notes and a pleasant sage character. Very herbal. Pretty tasty, interesting.

Tap at Bud. Glowing orange, cloudy, high, fine head. Very spicy nose, esters, yeasty. Sweet and estery, harsh spicy bitterness, heavy though somehow watery too. Very disappointing American saison. Just doesn’t work.
