Thanks to Bunnyhop for bringing this to the GA 14% gathering! This was a clear brown with a small tan head. Strong aromas of malt, raisin, oak, and vanilla. The palate was oily, full bodied and with a softly carbonated creaminess to it. Warming. The flavor was caramel and raisin with a complex fruit background. Alcohol is a little too pronounced. Definately a different Saison.

Crazy hazy orange beer with crazy spewing foam white head. Volcanic! Spicey coconut aroma...like the SPF sunscreen. I remember a yeast emitting coconut overtones in a beer in the past...interesting. Ginger and cloves tastes with alcohol and chunks of cococnuts coming in a certian points. Rich bodied beer. Lather my mouth with SPF 45. Merci Rasta!

This was a unique experience. Poured light orange and fairly clear with a creamy thin light tan head. Very interesting aroma- I finally realized that it reminded me of pineapple juice. Very tangy and fruity body with strong spicing. Pineapple and zesty pepper were strong and coriander was also noticeable. An interesting floral character develops at warmer temperatures too. I can't say I'll ever see this beer again; thanks hopsrus!

(draught) Dark amber to strong tea colour; good white head. "Farmyard" smells allright - mouldy cookies, if that can be. Tart to rich sweet taste, fruity, estery finish with orange zest and umble of aromatic components. Rich mouthfeel, aftertaste keeps tart. There's a beer that grows on you. It started off-putting for me, and then I wanted more and more.

(draught) Pale clear gold; slim, but stable white head. Very spicy nose, cilandro, lavender, rosemary. Lavender on the taste, definitely. Some restsweetness, very spicy finish. Light to medium palate, bit sticky. Spices just go on in the aftertaste. It's very original, but just not clean-tasting enough for a real Saison.

Little head, immediately disapearing. Yeast in suspension. Deep brown beer with a reddish shine troughout. Nose: alcoholic - and a lot! Prunes - maybe slivovitch. Just tasted after 'Cuvée de Tomme', and the parentage is obvious. Taste gives wood & tannines, dark malt, prunes again, liquourish. Sourish tinge, and then: RAISINS in the way of the Flemish 'boerejongens' (=cherries or raisins preserved in jenever). Adstringent mouthfeel, alcohol (oh surprise!). No new aftertaste, unless you count the way your throat reacts after a triple brandy. This beer presented me some problems, finding the right descriptions. But Tomme is a magician, no doubt.

Blend of aged and fresh beer, more or less in the Flemish style, and the results are quite impressive - very complex, with malt and fruit richness. I would like to see this again.
