Draft @ Sour & Bitter 2012. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty hoppy piney aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and hoppy bitter flavor. has a roasted malty chocolate bitter finish with citrus hoppy hints in the aftertaste.

[5/10/12] Draught sample at Sour & Bitter. Clear deep golden a big rocky beige head. Aroma of resinous hops and some graininess. Bitter hoppy flavor, piney and resinous with very light malt. Medium-bodied.

[5/10/12] Draught sample at Sour & Bitter. Black, slightly transparent, with a bit of light brown foam. Pleasant roasty aroma, somewhat burnt. Burnt flavor with espresso notes. Medium to full-bodied. Nice.

Sour & Bitter Festival CPH 2012. Black with a small tan head. Chocolate aroma with biscuit-y malt, some vanilla, fruityness and alcohol. Dry and pine hoppy flavour with roast malt and licorice and a good bitter finish

From tap. Pours clear and golden orange with a huge off white head. Aroma is fruity hoppy and dry pine hoppy. Bitter and dry malty, crisp hoppy and light citric bitterinto a dry and bitter finish. Bitter and crisp hoppy finish

From tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malty. Light liqourice note. Dense maæty and caramelish to liqourice. Bitter and dry roasted malty into the finish.

Sample @ the Sour & Bitter event in Copenhagen. Pours black with a small mocha head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace on the glass. Smell is sweet with roasted malts, coffee, liquorice, ash, wood, pumpernickel and hints of smoke. Taste is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, coffee, grass, ash, burnt toast, wood, pine and hints of sheet metal. Mouthfeel is tiny dry, tiny tart and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, coffee, wood and hints of pine.

Tap @ Avery, doing the 10th Annual Boulder Strong Ale Festival. Pours very dark brown with a small offwhite head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit, pine, slightly tart. Taste is malts, chocolate, dark fruit, pine, resin, tart, wood, nuts, Medium body, soft carbonation. 090312

Boulder Strong Ale Fest. Clear reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Piney, slightly spruce-like/organic hoppy, roasty, dark malty aroma. Minty, piney/spruce-like, roasty dark chocolate malty flavor. Almost like an Andes mint.

Tasting @ Home with J&C, October 2011. Bottle from a trade with tytoanderso. Many thanks Tyler ! Quite a gusher. The appearance wasn’t that nice :D muddy. murky,sewage water like grey brown, with no head. Fizzy. Tart and sour aroma, grapes, brett. Tart and sour taste, very vinous, brett,leather wood. I don’t know if i am getting used to sour beer, but I absolutely loved this one.
