Det er alltid spennende med en ny single hop-serie, og denne 0,44 boksen har jeg naturligvis fra den oppmerksomme pusher i Lars Hertervigs gate: uklar brunlig gyllen (en litt ubestemmelig farge) med fint skum som varer. Furunål/kvae/våt skogbunn og overmodne citrusfrukter, særlig grapefrukt og bitterappelsiner. Fin og fruktig bitterhet i den halvtørre avslutningen. Den vekker absolutt interessen for de neste i Cryo-serien. Hazy IPA iflg etiketten, men mer som en IPA synes jeg.

440ml can bought at Gulating Ølutsalg in Tromsdalen. A steady fawn-coloured head over a near-black body, crocheted lacing. Roasted doughy malts on the nose, scent of liquorice. Prominent flavours of liquorice added by creamy malts. Lightly roasted ending with salt and sweet liquorice. Medium bodied. Pretty alright. (Tromsø 19.04.2021).

330 ml can, as Fjordfolk Red Forest Smoked Lager, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 9.1%, IBU 75. Dark red colour, moderate and creamy off-white head. Aroma of beech-smoked malts, smoked meat and bonfires. Smoked flavour too, a slight fruitiness, and a massive and sharp hop bitterness in the aftertaste. The bitterness is definitely over the top and unbalanced, making you nearly forget that you have just taken a sip of a smoked beer. Won't buy again.

Fiskåbanen 030421.Golden-yellow color with a white head. Aroma is fruit, hop, malt. Flavor is oranges, fruit, malt, hop, citrus, wheat, tangerine, grass, yeast. OK beer.

440 ml can, from Helgø Meny Kvadrat. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly gushing can. Pale golden colour, small white head. Sweetish aroma of maize and artificial candy. Slightly citric mouthfeel. Bland flavour with notes of maize and grain. Low bitterness. Won't buy again.
