Sample at the Eurostash II tasting on 12/12/09: The beer pours from the tiny bottle a clear pale yellow color with a thin and fizzy white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing. Grass, corn and malt aromas. Light body with flavors of weak hops, sweet malt and grain. The finish is short and malty. Another waste of time, but it does win the award for the most ironic use of the word "Imperial".

(Bottle. Thanks to SaintMatty) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty aroma with notes of caramel, apples and red berries. Malty, fruity taste with sweet caramel malt, red berries and dark fruit. Slightly spicy, toasty finish. More than medium body, smooth mouthfeel. Sweet with low bitterness. Vienna leaning in the bock direction. Decent but hardly exciting.

Huge, cream-coloured head, collapsing whilst fed by lively carbonation in deep chestnut coloured beer. Sweet caramel nose, with grassy notes and gassy impression. (Less) sweet caramel; felt/mossy flavours, bananaester (certainly warming up) and touch of dark chocolate, if without bitterness. Aftertaste reveals some stickyness, but it remains drinkable. If it would be served from the wood, and helped with a bucketful of Zlatec, if might even end up good. If a tad too sweet, not yet cloying. Acceptable - even if only for a pint.

Clear, darker-golden beer with small snowwhite head. Dull malt nose, touch of seaweed, pointing towards sulphurcompound. Toasted malts, dry, with short relief by too shy hoppy bitterness, turning to near-bitterness. Unidimensional nonetheless. Dry, light to medium body; even the CO² not able to remedy its lifelessness. Utterly boring.

Bottle claims only 4.1% Medium, dense & slightly irregular beige head over deep dark, red-brown beer. Very sweet, syrupy nose with roasted & toffee notes - like Haagse Hopjes , roasted grains and scorching waffle syrup. Very slow upcoming coffee taste, or even Ersatzcoffee, but practically devoid of any bitterness. Roasted sugar, cardboard. Very light, near empty palate, bit fizzy, dry. If I had gotten this blind, without any foreknowledge, I might have hazarded a third world, home-manufactured Cola alternative...
