Can from Meny. Unclear pale golden body with a small, collapsing white head with lacings. Moderate to weak aroma, weak fruit and malt/grain almost like normally found in pilsners. Flavor feels unfresh, some malt, some general fruitiness, low bitterness and some slightly metallic harshness. Medium body and short aftertaste. It’s drinkable but would not repeat.

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a small beige head. Aroma has rich, dark malt, coffee, chocolate and piny hops. Flavor is sweet, medium roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and balancing bitterness. Fine body and nice aftertaste. Rather pleasant and a lot better than expected based on a few other beers from this brewery.

330ml can, #239, bought at Gulating Ølutsalg in Tromsdalen. Looks nice in the glass with a slowly diminishing tan head leaving spotty lacing behind, deep black body. Inviting aromas of chocolate malts, carefully roasted. Smooth cocoa-chocolate flavoured backed by coffee notes, mild lactose in the background. Rounded roasted bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. A pleasant surprise. (Tromsø, 16.06.2023).

Superficial sample from Gunnfryds ticker party. Black body under a thin, dense beige head. Aroma has dark roasted malt with hint of licorices. Taste is medium sweet, dark, soft roasted malt, vanilla, coffee, chocolate and decent bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Surprisingly tasty for a moderate ABV stout.

Can. A dense, finger-thick dark beige head forms over an almost black body. Lacing. The aroma is rather burnt, with bonfire hints. Coffee, cocoa, dark chocolate and oat biscuits. It's medium bodied and very softly carbonated, with a roasted malt kind of bitterness. Cocoa, burnt malts, coffee and some bread crust. Long finish. Some lactose sweetness all the way. Not bad for a beer this low ABV. 230422
