Buying this bottle at the DB store, Stuttgart Hbf. Sharing it with Alex, on the train to Zurich, on monday after an afternoon at Heinrich 3000. A regular and classical pils, brewed on the German way, basic, grainy, malty, rather dry, bready, a bit sweet, 01.03.23

Bottle on 22nd June 2025, gift from Alex at the 2025 Lighting Meet in Newquay. Pours a crystal clear gold with shallow disappearing foam and no lacing. Grassy aroma. Savoury nuttiness and grassiness in-mouth, and a finish of sweet and nutty malts and grassy hops. Full bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

0,5 liters bottle. Tried a few weeks ago. From all the commercial pilseners in Germany that I tried this must be the weakest one.

Bottle. Gold in color with a three finger head. Aroma and taste are both well balanced. Taste has a bitter flavour.

Bottle at home, courtesy of Erzengel. Semi-clear golden pour, white head. Nose is stale malts with some hoppy presence. Taste is somewhat sweet, somewhat bitter, hay and grass come through. Closes with a bitterish finish, has a light body. Mediocre beer, but at least now I can tick all German regions off. Thanks Gabriel!

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Grainy malt aroma with straw and notes of cereal. Soft noble hops with a touch of apple. Flavour is a bit sweet with a moderate bitterness. Body is medium. Very ordinary German marcopils, a bit on the sweet side.
