150ml poured from a bottle at Haandfestivalen. A tiny layer at the top of a clear golden body. Spotty lacing. Smell of floral hops, bog myrtle, and earthy malts. Tasty combination of peach, bog myrtle, honey, and lemon. Bittersweet end with a salty twist. Medium bodied. Nice (Drammen 29.05.2015).

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal. Pours hazy dark golden with small white head. Aroma of Bog-myrtle, honey, flowers, herbs. Taste sweet and floral with slightly bitter finish. According to the brewery the beer is brewed with salt - we were not able to detect it in the taste.

500 ml bottle, as Gildaskáli SALT. Batch 232. ABV on the label was 7.2%, but the brewery now informs us that the labels were misprinted, and the correct ABV is 6.0%. Hazy deep golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly nice aroma of sea water, sweet gale / bog myrtle and other herbs, hints of honey. Quite nice and refreshing flavour, the saltiness is not overdone, and the herbal notes are fine. Not a bad try from this new client brewery.

Bottle. Straw yellow colour and cloudy, and has a nice off-white foam head. In a mild aroma I find dry hay, pale malt, a little citrus and a hint of spice in the background. The taste is not far away with more pale malt and hay, but here are the bog myrtle more prominent with notes of herbs, heather and forest floor. Mouth feel is smooth with pleasant richness, and the beer has a light bitterness. Is an interesting creation with a fine balance between the bog myrtle and malt. Is also easy drinking. A light ale but is well balanced.
