Bottle. Pours hazy nearly black with airy but stable light tan head. Clear aroma of roast, with notes of malt and nuts and some hoppy touches. Bitter, roasty onset, giving way to sweetish notes of malt and caramel, replaced in turn by bitter notes of hops and metal. Touches of yeast. Roasty and estery aftertaste. High carbonation. Drinkable but nothing really special, not even for the style.
Earlier Rating: 2/12/2015 Total Score: 3.4
Draught @ the brewpub. Pours clear very dark copper brown with small light tan head. Clear aroma of roast, with notes of caramel malt and yeast and touches of hops. Sweetish, malty and estery flavour with hints of caramel, counterbalanced by roasty and hoppy notes. Estery and roasty aftertaste. Well-balancd and okay for the style. Available only at the brewpub.
