Description

Bottle I brought to the RB Danish Summer Gathering 2013 day 1, Ulfborg. Opaque dark brown color, small beige head. Aroma has malts, lightly alcohol, lightly hops, lightly fruity. Taste lightly malts, alcohol, lightly roasty, medium to firm bitterness. Medium to full body, medium to full carbonation. A bit too alcoholic and maybe the roastyness could be a bit more present to make it a 4+ black IPA, but still very nice. Thanks Jurgen and Geralda for this bottle! As promised I shared it :)

Thanks to bierkoning for that bottle. Looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Fine hoppy aroma. Starts strong hoppy and interesting fruity like orange and grapefruit. Mild sourish notes. Finish drier, less fruity, more bitter. Great one!

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a deep mahogany colour with a frothy tan head. The aroma is of roasted malts and liqourice. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with lots of liqourice, malt and a little yeast on the smooth dry and slightly peppery palate. I like my Dubbels and I liked this one a lot. One for a session for sure.
