12oz can pours a dark brown with some ruby edges and come creamy, beige head.  Nose has a lot of barrel and sumac off the top, hazelnuts, raw wood, caramel, bad whiskey.  Flavor has malt and rootbeer and cheap whiskey, plenty of raw wood, licorice root, witchhazel.  Full bodied, sweet and boozy finish.  Overdone.  5 4 5 2 8

Super clear amber and copper coloured body with a thinnish, two to three centimetre tall off-white head that fades fast and barely leaves a lace on the top of the clear body. Aroma of relatively pungent, caramely and fairly cerealy malts with a bit of a nuttiness to it as well, but much stronger than any hops that are picked up and only a sliver of light spiciness that seems to come from the yeast which does leave a bunch of bread behind in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Very malty and metallic flavours dominate at first with a lot of nuts and earthiness and a dry, herbal quality that brings out more of the bitterness, but from the malts, almost nothing in here from hops, with a big bready and yeast quality on the end that hits almost like a pumpkin. Aftertaste shows the bitterness and some full-bodied malts, but less on the sweetness and complexity, with a lot of earthy, nutty and lightly spiced malt and yeast components here, as you'd expect. Overall, a very lager-y oktoberfest/marzen with a complex malt characteristic, but almost nothing from the sugars or hops here, slightly disappointing, but the yeast is strong as well, which brings it about on par with others from the style around this area. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Clarendon (Arlington), Virginia on 23-August-2021 for US$2,00 sampled at my house here in Washington on 07-October-2021.

Crisp enough. Golden pour with decent head and lacing. No major issues and comes off clean. What you want from a lager. Could drink pitchers of this. Tap at Dew Drop.

Thick and oily black, wisp of beige head.  Leggy.  Nose has booze, Bourbon, toasted wood.  Some caramel and rootbeer and marzipan.  Chocolate syrup.  This smells like the best barrel even though it definitely isn't like.  Flavor lacks some complexity, chocolate covered cherries, coffee beans, toast, charred wood and booze.  Finishes hot, boozy, oily.  A little woody on the end.  Maybe showing the barrel now.  Pretty good though. Won the event.  8 4 8 4 14

Nice crisp helles. Great crisp hops and nice malt body. Golden pour with good head. Crisp finish with a touch of lemon. Tap at Dacha.

Can. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with light biscuit malt.

Can, courtesy of Max. Pours hazy orange. Orange zest, pineapple, mango, lychee, floral, light biscuit, hint of bitterness, minerally floral finish. Medium body. Fine.
