(Can) Poured from can after suggested vigorous shake and inversion. This gave a huge nitro head that settled over several minutes. This thick tan head was over a black body. Looks good. Aroma is dark roast grains and notes of coffee. Medium body with plenty of soft carbonation. Taste starts off primarily stout with the coffee flavours developing through the palate to a finish that has a fair amount of black coffee and some pleasant bitterness. Pleasant enough.

(Can) Pours cloudy golden with big off white head. Lovely aroma with pine, pineapple, citrus and hints of pepper. Medium body, smooth with gentle carbonation. Taste is is a mix of tangy fruits most of the way, developing peppery notes and then some pleasant bitterness in the finish. There’s some biscuit malt around the mid palate. Very nice beer.

From a 355ml can on 12/10/2020. Pours a fairly clear light golden with a small head. Features a very light fruit salad nose. The flavour is low in all respects - a medium sweet fruitiness and a slight spicy finish with not much in between. The body is thin and watery, the carbonation softish. Not awful, and perhaps passable if you classify it as a mid-strength.

(Can) Pours clear very dark brown with tiny tan head. Modest aroma with hints of roast grain and chocolate. Great mouthfeel medium body with silliness and bright carbonation. Good tasting too. It’s at heart a respectable porter, but with a well balanced addition of chocolate which is most prominent in the mid palate. There’s some almost burnt dark roast notes in the finish. Good drinking.

(Can) Pours cloudy amber with impressive dense off-white head. Lovely aroma of pine and citrus. Light body with plenty of fine bright carbonation. As would be expected the taste is dominated by hops, but in a good way. There’s some biscuit/ light caramel malt notes too. There’s some pleasant bitterness in the finish. Very pleasant.

From a 440ml can on 26/5/2020. Pours a slightly opaque light golden with a biggish fluffy white head. The nose is light and tropical with a touch of citrus zest. Has a decent amount of tropical sweetness up front, with a mild slightly spicy lemon bitterness. Medium bodied with moderate bitterness. This is a reasonably subtle beer but is really nicely balanced and well made, and has sufficient spark at the back to really please. I like it.

355ml can into pint glass. Thanks to Beer Cartel and Ratebeer. Cloudy amber beer with a patchy white head. Some residue floating just under the head. Herbal earthy grassy nose. Slight effervescence. Refreshing easy drinking with a drying hoppy fruity finish. This is nice.

Can for May #ratebeersupertasters. I should say that I find steam beers a very hit and miss style. And this one is a big miss for me. It tastes like a very messy pilsner. It's all cracker malts and lawn cuttings.
