Can. Almost clear amber with a fluffy off white head that never quite disappears. Aroma of peach, toffee, kumquat. A little chewy on the malt side before citrus and fairly strong bitterness take over. Reminds me of the days when fancy beer was called boutique beer in this country. In a good way.

(Can) Pours opaque sandy amber with big white head. Nice tangy aroma - pine and citrus. Great mouthfeel - smooth and full bodied with plenty of lively carbonation. Good taste too. There’s plenty of hops giving a tangy start and hoppy but not overly bitter finish. Notes of stone fruit and plenty of earthy and herbal notes. There’s a soft caramel maltiness that provides good subtle balance. Very drinkable.

11/10/2022. Can bought at Alice’s Alcove, Chelsea. Pours almost clear pale golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is grainy, wheaty, sulphur, citrus, orange, lime, light herb. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness with a tart edge. Moderate body, oily, average carbonation. Refreshing drop.

(Can) Pours clear pale bright yellow with tiny white head. Fruity pineapple aroma. Light body with plenty of bright, almost fizzy carbonation. Taste has pleasant tart fruitiness to it, which has identifiable pineapple notes. There’s some reasonable bitterness in the finish. Pleasant, but a bit simple.

(Can) Pours opaque amber with a short-lived white head. Tart yoghurt aroma with notes of pepper and grass and hints of tropical fruit. Smooth medium body with fine bright carbonation. Interesting taste. It’s sour, but not very. There’s some peppery spicy and earthy notes. The fruitiness is really subtle with banana hints. It’s refreshing, interesting and very drinkable.

Now just Kilt and 5% ABV. Put this in my Tripel Karmeliet glass which is the closest thing I have to a thistle, the traditional glass for this not at all made up bullshit style of beer. It looks nice though; clear brown with a slowly fading inch of pale beige head. Aroma of sticky breadcrust, toast and a touch of earthiness and spices. Much drier than expected with hints of plums (hmm) as well as toast. Moderate slightly earthy bitterness at the end. I quite liked it but I'm not convinced this it's how it's intended.
