Can. M&S. Reduced to a quid and a bit. Hazed gold. Fairly thick, messy white foam. Nose has floral hop. Sticky citrus. Some pine. Clean and crisp malt. Taste is light, crisp bitter. Taste is similarly bitter, and a little dry. Light to medium body. Sharp carbonation. Lingering bitterness to finish. Wasn’t supposed to be having a beer tonight, but after 6 hours sweating my balls off on 142s this went down a treat.

Can from Marks & Spencer, Manchester. Golden with a carbonation and a thick frothy head. Has a lager nose with a little more hop in its taste, but its lager characteristics are still dominant.

The M&A vouchers I got for Christmas have been put to good use. Floral and pine aroma. Low key. Opaque pale amber gold. Thick white foam head. Mesium bitter with a kick at the end before a tough if sweetness into the finish. Grapefruit which I do not particularly pick up in the aroma. Thin bodies. Light. Fizzy carbonation. Dry astringent finish. Refreshing. One of those IPLs which to me may as well be a Session IPA.
