Prettyfields Vineyard, Dead Lane, Ardleigh, CO7 7PF, England
Description
JackRabbit Brewing Co. was founded in 2019 by two craft beer enthusiasts with the aim of bringing modern craft beer to the picturesque surroundings of the Essex & Suffolk border.
The micro-brewery was converted from a disused piggery on an old smallholding farm, creating all kinds of logistical problems with a long winding driveway off a country lane!
Since 2019, the brewery has weathered the storm of the global pandemic, continuing to build the brand, and is now expanding, bringing on new team members and moving to a new larger site that is shared with a beautiful vineyard.

Can. Just a light haze on this slightly pale and yellowish gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, a good fine minerally crispness. Light pale malts, not thin but, not far off. A light sweetness. Crisp cooling pine, a mild hop spice nip. Bright but watery citrus, mandarin dominates, touch of pith. Crisp finish. Clean and quaffable, just needs more hop depth.

Can. Hazy orange gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Airy palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Fluffy but slightly thin bodied pale malts, a light creamy sweetness. Light cooling pine. A decent showing of citrus and mango. Little lemon, well buried. There is a good beer in here but it's slightly derailed by a bit of a tang. Nowhere near ruinous but does decrease drinkability for me.
