Description
1567: Erste urkundliche Erwähnung der Schlossbrauerei Moos. 1789: Johann Kaspar Graf von Preysing legt die Brauereien Aholming und Moos zusammen. Er errichtet aus den Steinen den Grundstock der heutigen Brauerei. 1960: Graf Ulrich Philipp von und zu Arco-Zinneberg fasst sämtliche Brauereien, die im Besitz der gräflichen Familie sind, unter dem Namen Arcobräu zusammen. Stammhaus wird die bis dahin sogenannte Schloßbrauerei Moos.

Wenn die Freude überschäumt, gute Laune nicht zu bremsen ist und die Lust auf ein gutes Bier am größten ist, dann ist man mitten im Leben, mitten in Niederbayern. Da, wo seit fast 500 Jahren unser Arcobräu gebraut wird mit viel Tradition, mit jeder Menge Erfahrung und freilich auch nur mit den besten Zutaten: Unsere Hefe beispielsweise aus eigener Reinzucht, dem allerbesten Hopfen aus der Hallertau oder dem Brauwasser aus unserem 96 Meter tiefen Mineralwasser-Brunnen. Das schmeckt nicht nur den Menschen, die hier leben, sondern mittlerweile Bierkennern in ganz Bayern. Nicht ohne Grund ist das Gräfliche Brauhaus Arcobräu mittlerweile der größte Bier-Lieferant von Volksfesten in Ostbayern.

50cl Bottle on Santorini. Murky golden colour, white head. Aroma of clove, some ginger, candy, some sweet banana, hint of citrus. Flavour is medium-sweet, wheat, light spicy, cloves, hint of fresh ginger without the peppery heat, yeast, a bit of citrus and tart wheat in the finish. Light-bodied. Nice.

50cl Bottle on Santorini. Murky golden colour, white head. Aroma of citrus, yeast, wheat, green banana. Flavour is citrus, wheat, yeast, light tart finish. Watery, but goes down well in the hot sun.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, fine malty, modest spicy. Some wheaty notes. Mild-dry background. Finish with some mild-grasy hints. Not bad!

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice creamy head. Starts fine malty-yeasty, not too dry. Wonderful notes of caramel. Modest sweet. Fruity hints of raisins. Finish well balanced, soft-malty, quite drinkable. Great beer!

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, fine malty, a bit spicy. Not very dry. Mild fruity notes of lemon in the background. Well balanced finish, soft-malty. Nice!

bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear golden yellow, mid-sized white head. Malty with a grainy touch, some shy hops in the finish. Solid but unexciting.

33cl bottle from Bierzwerg. BB 07.05.14. Hazy golden, smooth, creamy white head. Yeasty, grainy, dusty aroma. Grainy, light bready flavors. Light bitter, malty finish. Very refreshing. Solid zwickl.
