Description

bottle from biershop-bayern.de. Clear golden colour, large white head. Full-bodied, intensively malty, quite grainy, slightly hoppy in the finish. Noting more to write - a solid and well crafted Märzen.

(bottle, 5.7% abv) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Slightly sweet malty aroma with citric and slightly herbal hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Rounded malty body with herbal and subtle fruity hops, especially towards the dry-ish and slightly bitter hoppy finish. Balanced and uncomplicated Festbier. 23.VIII.11

Churchkey, DC tap ($7): Pours a super hazy yellow color with a white head. Aroma of citrus, specific kinds of apples, and a light touch of hops. Taste is kind of like a very fruity pilsener. Slightly sweet. Hops are rather on the subdued side of things. I think it is very well-balanced and contrary to some previous reviewers, I thought that it wasn’t watery in the least. A plenty unique beer deserving some recognition.

Bottle: Hazy, light amber to amber coloured, small - quite stable - lacy off-white head; moderate sweetish clovey-wheaty nose with a slight toasty-fruity background; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, light to medium bodied, soft; slightly lingering mild fruity-sourish finish. O.K. , but not really convincing.....
