Description
Yards has been brewing Philly's beer since 1994. We’ve grown from a garage-sized operation in Manayunk all the way up to our current location at 500 Spring Garden Street in Northern Liberties. And we couldn't have done it without your support through the years. Our beers always have and always will be brewed, bottled, kegged, and canned for the hard working people of Philadelphia and beyond.

This brewer has so far failed to impress me much. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with only a trace of a dark brown head. The aroma is sweet and roasty with a hint of chocolate. The flavor is sour, tangy and earthy with a dry roasty malt element. There is an odd aftertaste that is hard to describe. Not good.

Bottled. Hazy golden, rich head. Perfumy honey aroma. Very sweet with soft, spritzy mouthfeel. Medium to full body with well structured malt profile. Peachy hops provide a bitter, salty finish. Honey however dominates the beer, and the sweetness gets a bit much, despite the efforts of the hops and malt.

12 oz bottle-pours a foamy white head. Color is a cloudy straw. Aroma is fruity, coriander. Taste is fruit and coriander, dry-light grain. Good carbonation. Flavor is a bit of a let down from Yards other offerings.
