Description
Bringing orchards into the heart of urban communities.
We are the only national charity dedicated to the creation, restoration and celebration of community orchards.

Our aim is for every household in the UK’s towns and cities to be within walking distance of a productive, well-cared-for, community-run orchard.

Local Fox cider is made from 100% rescued fruit, otherwise destined for compost. We press in small batches, using the traditional rack-and-cloth method, with the juice naturally fermenting over winter. All of the profits are channelled back into buying tools and providing training for community orchards!

Since we opened the door of our apple juice and cider press in 2016, we’ve rescued over 38 tonnes of unwanted apples and pears, and turned them into delicious, unique drinks.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Fresh on Mare Street. Pours totally clear yellow-gold with a foamy, white head. Interesting cider, quite dry, tart, fairly acidic, with some lemony bite, dried and musty apples, low sweetness. Light bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Lightly quenching and acidic in the finish, more musty apple character. So so overall.
