(swing top bottle, with many thanks to Jevers Zeuge) Hazy, dark amber to copper colour with a mid-sized foamy beige head diminishing into a creamy layer. Dusty aroma of light-sweet toasted malt with fruity esters (red berries) and toffee. Light sweet flavour, a bit slim, medium carbonated mouthfeel. Slightly toasted malty and light fruity, yeasty taste; light bitter malty finish, toasty and yeasty aftertaste. Fairly drinkable but lacking ripeness.

(swing top bottle, with many thanks to Jevers Zeuge) Hazy orange golden colour with a fluffy off-white foamy head. Dusty, yeasty and slightly fruity nose with restrained malty notes. Light sweet flavour, light to medium body, lively carbonated mouthfeel. Slightly malty, moreover yeasty and fruity elements. Medium-dry malty and yeasty finish with a minimal bitterness. Really not bad but rather undemanding.

(swing top bottle, received from Jevers Zeuge by trade – many thanks!) Hazy and cloudy orange colour with a fluffy beige foam. Yeasty, medium sweet malty aroma with apricots. Sour-sweet flavour, light to medium body, well-carbonated mouthfeel. Sourish citrus-fruity taste with a shy malty background; acidic citrousy finish. Still drinkable Zwickel and the sourness makes it almost refreshing according to the momentary heat, but I doubt that was intended.

Bottled. Pale golden with a white head. The aroma has some sourness, in addition to a light smoke-aroma, bacon and hops. Medium smoked flavor, but also a bit sweetness and some sourness. Medium body. (060518)

A hazy orange-red beer with an OK orange head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of barn yard combined with notes of oranges, and hints of yeast. The flavor is acidic as if it beginning to turn bad, though it is within the best before date, and has been sitting in my fridge the month from I bought it. On top of the acidity I find notes of oranges, straw, and barn yard, leading to a dry wheaty end.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a reddish amber with a slight haze and a small, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and perhaps some apricots. Medium body with the acidity being the first and most prominent feature - sort of a citrusy acidity. Very rustic indeed. I fear that Ricklinger has a problem with their bottled beers. 140606

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy golden with basically no head. Distinct smoked aroma. Medium-bodied, smoked pilsener malt with an underlying tartness - quite unusual.. Very discreet bitterness in the finish. You can say what you will about Ricklinger, but they for sure ain’t mainstream. But somehow I doubt that everything they do is completely intentional... 190506

An unclear green-yellow beer with a beige head. The aroma is slightly smoke - a bit like a smoked hering. And the flavor is sweet combined with a hint of acidity with notes of smoke, oranges, and smoke, leading to a dry smoked end with slight hints of wood.

Hazy amber color. The perfumy aroma (with a light smokeyness) shows a light infection, not confirmed later. Malty body, pleasant light smokiness; sweet caramel. Low bitterness. Light, but pleasant.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, dark amber with an off-white head. Malty aroma and a whiff of smoke. Medium-bodied with some nice roasted malt. Vague underlying tartness and a dry finish. 300406
