clear amber colour with some reddish hue, moderate sized creamy beige head; aroma roasted sunflower seeds, roasted nutty, rye bready, some herbal hoppy and slight floral notes; well balanced bittersweet taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; really good marzen!

Rate 3.6, bottle coming from Heinrich 3000, Kornwestheim. Opening this bottle at the end of the afternoon after to come from the Bréguettaz. Classical German pils, not so bitter and floral, rather smooth and malty, classical hop, a bit herbal, 17.06.24

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Softly roasted with notes of caramel and chocolate. Some nutty nuances. Light to mild bittersweet taste. Medium body. Super drinkable, could have a few.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Bit toasty bready malts, grainy, dough. Light bittersweetish flavour. Medium body. Not the most refreshing aroma but certainly easily drinkable.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Sweetish grainy malt with a touch of honey. Finishes sweetish with a light bitterness. Medium body. Okay but not really my Lager profile.

500ml bottle. Opalescent, dark ruby colour with small to average, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark sulphureous head. Minimally toasty, caramel malty aroma, notes of caramel, a touch of malt lozenge, dark honey, whiffs of toffee. Taste is mellow, caramel malty, hints of caramel, some dark honey, malt lozenge, a touch of dry sherry, minimally woody overtones; minimally warming, alcoholic finish.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation.
Surprisingly alcoholic, some subtleties - nice.

Bottle thanks to Jens. Gold with a frothy, white head. Aroma of honey, dough and butter. Taste is moderate bitter and a touch metallic. Finishes, thankfully, much more grassy bitter than metallic, but overall there’s not much of a fresh, hoppy feel here although we’re months from the expiration date. Drinkable.

On tap at Taphouse Frankfurt, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has some unpleasant herbal notes dominating, with weird doughy notes, and stale bready malt. Flavour is just unpleasant, with stale malt, doughy notes, and off herbal notes. This is terrible.
LCI. Sweet malt and stewed fruits, pumpernickel bread. , some barrel, but doesn’t really add much.
