About
In 1654 Kilian Francois Mathieu Servantaine founded the Lion Brewery in Miltenberg. The story of the Faust family in the brewery begins in 1875 with Johann Adalbert. In 1993 the Löwenbrauerei was renamed "Brauhaus Faust". The fourth generation of Faust family took control of the brewery in 1996.

Bottle. Pours clear copper brown with airy beige head. Clear aroma of yeast, malt and caramel, with mild hoppy touches. Bitter, roasty and hoppy flavour with notes of caramel malt and yeast. Estery and roasty aftertaste with caramellish hints. Not bad but nothing really impressive.

Bottle, 5.2%. Faint spicy hop aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is mildly roasted. Slightly bready. Late liquorice note.

Bottle. Hazy amber color with white head. Aroma is raisins, sweet, canned stuff. Taste is sweet raisins, caramel, warming finish. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Simple but good!

Many thanks for this eisbock to Mariusz. Vintage 2016, 330ml bottle. Alez mocne lodowe piwo, nie jest glebnoko ciemne czy metne, rozowo czerwone, a lekka mglistoscia, piana poczatkowo spora bezowa ale redukuje sie dosc szybko, pachnie karmelem i zasmazana bulka tarta na masle. W smaku slodkie, nad wyraz karmelowe i wyraznie alkoholizujace, zbyt uwidocznina ta moc tego piwa. A wiec w moim odczuciu jest to najslabszy eisbock z tych trzech ostatnio kosztowanych.

Swing top bottle. Golden color. Peach and floral hops in the refined aroma and flavor. Well balanced. Citrus hopbitter aftertaste. Good beer!

Swing top bottle. Orange golden color. Grapefruit, oily hops and lychee in the aroma. Oily hopbitter flavor, medecinal with lychee and piney notes. Long oily earthy hopbitter finish.
